We here at the Marion County School of Music are expanding our studies to now include younger children. We have developed a Kindermusic program. This includes teaching children from the age of 2 to Pre-Kindergarten music, notes, rhythm, sounds, we will dance, march, play instruments of all sorts and in general learn all about the arts. We will color, paint, draw, connect the dots, make funny shapes and circles as well as hear music while we are learning basic art concepts. Music Therapy

Marion County School of Music is proud to announce that it will start offering music therapy classes.
The goal of this class is to assist students who wish to learn how to make music a tool to create a healthier and more productive life. Students will learn, that long-term illness can be handled with a much stronger and able attitude, by using tools, which often are not supplied by the medical community.
Children who have been diagnosed with some form of A.D.H.D. have a proven success rate by attending their music therapy sessions.
Professionals who are in a high stress work environment, who find themselves in need of a way to balance their stress levels will benefit tremendously from the programs designed to work with each individual.

Scholastic Values on Musicals
and just plain fun...
Upon the request of several teenagers we are now offering a Saturday Morning Program designed specifically for Teens and Pre-Teens.
On the second Saturday of every month from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, we will be watching a Musical and discussing the making of it. We will also learn about the history of the film and the actual literary value of the story portrait. Reservations must be made in advance and each movie will be announced one week before showing. No study materials are necessary; everything will be provided. Make your reservations immediately, so plans can be made for each person attending. We thank you for your continued support, and hope that this program will encourage kids to learn more about history and the literary arts, as well as music, of course.
Donuts and Refreshments are complimentary.

Reserve your seat for the second Saturday of every month.
All teenagers and pre-teens are welcome.

Please contact the offices of Marion County School of Music for a registration form.
