 Student Guide Academic Challenge: We provide an academically rigorous curriculum, based on European academic standards and offer challenging courses to all of our students. Applicants need to demonstrate they can meet the high standards the schools sets, by providing scholastic records of achievement.
Out of State/Country students: We offer Boarding to students who come to us from out of State or from other countries. Our rooms are comfortable studios, shared by 2 students. House Parents are well suited and experienced in the care of our students, and assist our boarders in all endeavors.
Our School Day Unlike in traditional public or private schools where teaching ends at 3:00, our learning continues into the afternoon, and early evening Many of our After School Programs assist our students in their pursuit of learning, adding extra-curricular activities to their day, or receiving tutoring, help with home-work or guidance with certain projects.
Arts-After-Hours, is our After School Program, in which our students may choose to participate in many extra curricular activities, such as: Piano, Drum, Voice, Guitar Lessons, Chess Club, Car Club, Debate Club, Solar Power Study Club, Art, Garden Club, Karate, Ballet, Gymnastics, Soccer and Basketball. We also pride ourselves in having an annual Victorian Choir, travelling to various performance venues, dressed in Victorian gowns, sporting Top Hats and Capes. Arts After Hours Music Master Music Master Classes are offered periodically. Interested students may enroll in Piano, Voice, Guitar, Drum or Woodwind Master Class Sessions. Classes are very intense training sessions, individualized to suit the students needs and requirements to advance. Special Master Class Certificates will be awarded at the end of the course.  Chess ClubFrom first grade to our Seniors in High School, students of all ages are invited to join our Chess Club. We meet twice a week to practice and travel to participate in Chess Competitions throughout the State. Some Practice Sessions are held outdoors, so we can enjoy the fresh air. Other times we enjoy a warm fire place on a cold winter day.  Culinary Arts
A class of true distinction. Students learn about the basics of cooking, and venture into the true art of preparing amazing culinary delights. All participants receive a Certificate of Achievement/Participation and cater a faculty dinner at the end of the course. This is truly "Arts After Hours".  Equestrian ArtsIf you love animals, you will love our Horseback Riding Class. Students earn badges in the various skills acquired in this course, and receive a special certificate of accomplishment, when the course is completed. Riding is an experience you will treasure for a lifetime.  Martial Arts You can join our weekly Karate Class, and learn from a Master in Martial Arts. You will be required to wear your own Gi and must participate regularly. There is much discipline and great reward in learning this ancient art form. You will be able to achieve various honors and special recognitions.  Garden Club
Our Four Seasons Gardens are perfect all year long for our students to enjoy botany first hand. From the smallest Pre-Kindergartener to our oldest Senior, there is much to do in a garden. Planting, decorating and keeping the gardens well groomed, is an ongoing chore. The real fun begins in the fall, when we decorate for Halloween. If you like to garden, then this After School Activity is for you. Photography This After School Course is especially designed to teach you photography. A well designed course with a professional photographer  Ballet and
Gymnastics You will be inspired by a Master in the Performing Arts, who is your coach. Various dance forms will be explored, among which are Jazz Dance, Tap, Soft Shoe and many other interesting and exciting expressions of dance. A Certificate of Completion will await you at the end of the course.  Debate Club This group of students is a highly motivated and driven group of people, wanting to excel in a meaningful and interactive way. Students are given a theme each week, and must find ways as a team to debate issues of various interest. Debate Club is challenged to become good enough to debate against students from other schools and organizations. The question is - are you interested in a good debate each week? If the answer is "Yes", then this club is for you. Future Business Leaders of America If you have a genuine interest in business, and learning how to do well in business, then you may wish to consider our FBLA Club. Students will learn how to plan, organize and run a business. Your teacher and guide has a Masters Degree in Business and Economy, and is the owner of a very successful business in our community. This could be fun !!!  Stock Exchange Club Every school year, we offer our Stock Exchange Club. Students learn how to place a certain amount of funds in an investment and what losses and gains they can expect. When the school year ends the dividends are paid out, or the losses calculated. The program is set up quite similar to a stock broker working bids on the stock exchange. This is not for everyone, but you may find that "playing the stock market" is for you.  SoccerWe pride ourselves in always adding new, and interesting activities to our After School Program. This year, we will offer Soccer to all interested students. To sign up, please visit with your coach about all the details of the program and let him know of your interest.  Track and Field Join our Track and Field Team and let's get competitive. We have several schools wishing to compete against us - Are you "Game" ?  Basketball While some of us are very enthusiastic about Soccer, many of our students have expressed and interest in forming a Basketball Team. To sign up, we ask students to visit with the Basketball Coach to understand all requirements of joining the team. More Educational Electives Tutoring Students in need of tutoring in any of our subjects, will be asked to sign up for after school tutoring. This will assure you of catching up in any and all of the subjects, that you feel need of assistance. We offer tutoring at no additional cost, as often as necessary for you to feel comfortable with your grades and have gained the knowledge to succeed in all subjects.  Study Hall Daily Study Hall allows you to complete most of your homework with the assistance of a teacher. If you have questions, need additional information, didn't understand something during a class lecture, you are free to ask, research and receive all the assistance necessary to complete your homework successfully.  Study Club
Several of our students have formed a Study Club. They want to advance and learn more after school. Together, they have formed a group of individuals who are driven to learn, advance and become "Super Smart". They have fun studying on their own, although they know that they can ask a teacher anytime. We are very proud of their initiative and self-motivation. Computer Science Students who are interested in Computer Sciences will enjoy learning from the Basics all the way to Computer Maintenance and Repairs. Several Computer Programs will be learned, and you will receive credit for your participation in this class.  Solar Power - Green Energy
You will learn the Science of Electrical and Solar Power, how to harness them and make them a viable entity. Building Solar Panels and Windmills will be the culmination of your classroom time. A special letter of participation along with a Certificate awaits you at the end of this course.  Honors Physics - Honors Calculus
Honors Courses on your student records are a very large advantage, when you wish to apply for a top university. We prepare you to receive the highest possible scores in your AP Honors Testing. Certificates of Achievement will be awarded at time of Graduation. TESTING  We are an official Test Site for AP Honors, SAT, Pre-SAT Testing. Inquire with us about Test Dates and necessary information to reserve your seat on Test Day. We are approved through the U.S. College Board. |
